Plantpeddler Variety Day 2026

Posted: July 6, 2026

On Friday, August 7, the annual Plantpeddler Variety Day event will take place at the Plantpeddler Young Plant facility and Trial Gardens. Over 1500 varieties are on display in containers, baskets and beds. Breeder representatives will be in the gardens and available throughout the day. Presentations run concurrently on the main stage, with this year’s keynote speaker Dr. Raymond Cloyd of Kansas State University. A trade show of event sponsors, along with greenhouse tours round out the day, which runs from 9AM to 4PM. Continental breakfast and lunch will be served. Plantpeddler is located in Cresco, Iowa, and all Horticulture industry professionals are welcome.

For those arriving the day before, on Thursday evening, the Gooder family and the Plantpeddler team are hosting “Feast at the Farm”. Music, BBQ and fellowship are key ingredients of the evening. Held at Stone Creek Farm, the legacy family farm, with the festivities starting at 6PM. Shuttle bus services will be available to and from area motels.

Special thanks and appreciation to our sponsors and breeders for supporting these Plantpeddler events. Both events are no charge, and more information is available on the website. If you are planning to attend, please register at Trial Gardens & Variety Day, and we look forward to you joining us here at Plantpeddler.
